Our Story
LOCOAL was founded on a simple but powerful idea: everything we throw away is a loss. Agricultural residues, forestry waste, commercial wood scraps — these materials represent untapped energy and carbon sequestration potential that gets buried in landfills every day.
Seed-funded by an AFWERX dual-innovation contract with the U.S. Air Force, LOCOAL is now in its Series A raise of $25M. We are becoming preferred partners to leading agricultural farms, major arborists, retailers, and other commodity companies.
Headquartered in Boerne, Texas with a laboratory in Vancouver, Washington, our team operates on the cutting edge of sustainability — combining American ingenuity with world-class engineering.
